The Adena Warriors lost to the New Hope Christian Academy Statesmen back in December of 2022, but the Adena Warriors didn't allow the New Hope Christian Academy Statesmen the same satisfaction on Friday. Adena wrapped up 2023 with a 67-49 win over New Hope Christian Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Adena.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Adena to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lucas King, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. King set a new season high mark in assists with five. Another player making a difference was Cayden Lee, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
The victory got Adena back to even at 4-4. As for New Hope Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.
Adena won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023. New Hope Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vinton County at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th.
