Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (58), Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City still had to take the loss.
Macee Rodman and Karlee Smith certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Rodman scored 19 points, while Smith scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Rodman's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Baya Fingo, who scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Altamont, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will head out on the road to face off against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's offense will have their work cut out for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City. Altamont will be home for the holidays to greet Woodlawn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodlawn is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
