After flying high against the Oakwood Eagles  last Wednesday, the Ridgecroft Rams came back down to earth. Ridgecroft took a  74-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lawrence Academy on Friday. Ridgecroft was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lawrence Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  on January 5th.
 Ridgecroft's loss  came despite strong showings from  Antron Gray and  Sawyer Chamblee.  Gray  scored 23 points along with five  assists, while  Chamblee  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and 12  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Bill Vaughan, who  scored seven points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals.
 Lawrence Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Mari Larry led the charge by  scoring 22 points along with nine  rebounds and four  steals. Larry has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last three times he's  played.  Nike Wiggins was another key contributor,  scoring 18 points along with five  rebounds and two  steals.
 Ridgecroft's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Lawrence Academy,  the  victory  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 11-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgecroft will  square off against Albemarle School at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Albemarle School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Lawrence Academy, they will head out on the road to  face off against  John Paul II Catholic at 6:15  p.m.  on Monday.
