The Richmond-Burton Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 13th straight loss. They fell 46-33 to Plano. The matchup was a 19-19 toss-up at halftime, but Richmond-Burton was outscored by Plano in the second.
Josie Larson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds for Plano. That makes it six consecutive games in which Larson has scored at least a third of Plano's points. Aleksa Martinez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Richmond-Burton's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-19. As for Plano, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.
Richmond-Burton will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Sandwich at 7:00 p.m. As for Plano, they will head out on the road to face off against Marengo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marengo is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
