Two dominant players in Jefriel Bacorro and Isaiah Cruz are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Mills Vikings will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Capuchino Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Mills has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
Mills struggled with assists last Saturday (Burlingame had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Mills took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Burlingame. Mills has not had much luck with Burlingame recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Mills got a solid performance out of Bacorro, who scored ten points along with two blocks. Gavin Ma was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Oceana typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Capuchino proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Sharks 61-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Capuchino has posted since December 6, 2023.
Mills has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Capuchino, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
