The Fort Bend Clements Rangers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Fort Bend Austin 62-47. Given Fort Bend Clements' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Fort Bend Austin is ranked 379th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Fort Bend Clements to victory were Joshua Clark and Divine Ugochukwu. Clark dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds, while Ugochukwu dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clark has scored all season. Keshav Vijaykumar was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists.
Fort Bend Clements pushed their record up to 23-0 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road. As for Fort Bend Austin, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-17 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Fort Bend Travis the next time they take the court. Fort Bend Clements will head out to face Fort Bend Travis at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fort Bend Austin will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
