The St. Helens Lions were the 59-50 winner over the Scappoose Indians when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. St. Helens ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-34 walloping at the hands of the Indians on Friday. St. Helens just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Colton Sprenger was nothing short of spectacular for Scappoose: he scored 16 points along with three steals. Elijah Greenan biggs was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
St. Helens' defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9. As for Scappoose, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
St. Helens will be playing at home against the Cheesemakers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tillamook is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Scappoose, they will head out on the road to square off against the Seagulls at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seaside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Indians in Oregon (the Seagulls are ranked 23rd, while the Indians are ranked 95th).
