On Friday, The Lakeside Christian Lions faced the Ocala Christian Crusaders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lakeside Christian had to suffer through a rough 60-16 loss at the hands of Ocala Christian. Lakeside Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ocala Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Ocala Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Troy Wade out in front who rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Wade really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run. Joshua Davis was another key contributor, gaining 134 total yards and two touchdowns.
Lakeside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Ocala Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Lakeside Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ocala Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
