Gracee Hess spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Cranberry Area got a massive performance out of Lexi Reisinger, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was Reisinger's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylie Gregory, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.
Reisinger wasn't the only one making solid contact: Cranberry Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Curwensville only managed eight hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Reynolds). They put the hurt on Farrell with a sharp 16-4 win on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
The win got Cranberry Area back to even at 3-3. As for Reynolds, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
