South Sumter is 9-1 against Umatilla since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. South Sumter will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
South Sumter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Astronaut 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Bryson Mitchell looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gabe Sabilona, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Malakhi Boone, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Meanwhile, Umatilla beat Nature Coast Tech 6-1 on Thursday.
Umatilla's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nick Sande, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Sande has launched this season. Another was Corbin Turner, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Umatilla hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nature Coast Tech struck out 11 times.
South Sumter's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Umatilla, their win bumped their record up to 16-13.
South Sumter took their victory against Umatilla when the teams last played on April 8th by a conclusive 13-3 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
