Westwood is 9-1 against Dobson since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Westwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Cibola, taking the game 9-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Dobson made sure to put some runs up on the board against Maryvale on Wednesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 12-1 win.

Joseph Osorio made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aaron Mutascio, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Dobson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-15 otherwise. Brody Dobson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Dobson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Westwood's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Dobson, their win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

Westwood took their victory against Dobson in their previous matchup on Monday by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
