With a playoff game on the line, the Bishop Noland Episcopal Day Eagles rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past the Lions 47-24. Bishop Noland Episcopal Day has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Charlie Kuehn, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Roy Washington, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Acadiana Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Ty Olivier and Layne Hebert. Olivier scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Hebert scored three points. That was a full 45.8% of Acadiana Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Even though they lost, Acadiana Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Noland Episcopal Day only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Bishop Noland Episcopal Day and bumps their season record up to 15-3. As for Acadiana Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-10.
Bishop Noland Episcopal Day will square off against the at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Faith Training Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Acadiana Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
