This season hasn't been kind to the A Plus Academy Knights, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They fell 53-40 to Inspired Vision on Friday. A Plus Academy has not had much luck with Inspired Vision recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Inspired Vision's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyree Sheffield, who scored 19 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Sheffield has scored at least a third of Inspired Vision's points. Gabriel Kalala was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
A Plus Academy's loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.7 points per game. As for Inspired Vision, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-14 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A Plus Academy will take on Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Inspired Vision won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Trinity Leadership at 11:00 a.m. on January 13th. Trinity Leadership is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.6 points per game.
