Last Tuesday, West Wendover earned a 57-49 win over the Longhorns. 57 seems to be a good number for West Wendover as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
West Wendover's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adryan Carlos, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Carlos hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Osvaldo Carrillo, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.
Sierra Lutheran can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They strolled past Silver Stage with points to spare, taking the game 47-28. The win was just what Sierra Lutheran needed coming off of a 72-31 loss in their prior game.
West Wendover pushed their record up to 17-4 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Sierra Lutheran's record is now 7-14.
West Wendover took their victory against the Falcons when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 84-59. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Sierra Lutheran's Marcus Jones, who scored 23 points.
