Concord is 0-3 against Windham since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Concord Crimson Tide will head out on the road to face off against the Windham Jaguars at 2:00 p.m. Concord is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Concord faced Dover in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Concord was just a hair shy of victory and fell 28-27 to Dover.
Meanwhile, Windham's four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Manchester Central 28-0 at home. The victory was just what Windham needed coming off of a 34-14 loss in their prior match.
Among those leading the charge was Tiger An, who rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Brearley, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Dover's victory pushed their record up to 5-2-1, while Concord's loss dropped theirs down to 2-5.
Concord came up short against Windham when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 30-21. Can Concord avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
