Kennedale is a perfect 10-0 against Castleberry since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Kennedale didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Dunbar to a completion percentage of just 33.3%. Kennedale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Trey Smith, Bingham, Zarrian Carliss, and Mayes picked up one apiece. Mayes got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Castleberry's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They fell 48-36 to Ferris. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Kennedale has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 168.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Castleberry struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 261.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Kennedale against Castleberry in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 44-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
