Eagle Mountain has gone a perfect 3-0 against Decatur recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Knights will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Decatur's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Eagle Mountain hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Knights never let Castleberry get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Ashlyn Eggleton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.

Eagle Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Decatur made easy work of Castleberry on Thursday and carried off a 21-3 victory.
Like Eagle Mountain, Decatur also got a great game from a two-way player: Alivia Creasser. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Creasser was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Decatur got a massive performance out of Chloe Hammons, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that Hammons has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Lainey Cobb, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
The win got Decatur back to even at 8-8. As for Eagle Mountain, their record now sits at 18-10-1.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eagle Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. However, it's not like Decatur struggles in that department as they've averaged .405. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eagle Mountain skirted past Decatur 5-3 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
