Cicero Prep Academy has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Superior Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cicero Prep Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 13 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Two weeks ago, Cicero Prep Academy had to suffer through a rough 47-13 loss at the hands of North Valley Christian Academy.
Meanwhile, Superior's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 30-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maryvale Prep.
Despite their loss, Superior saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Stephanie Lopez, who scored 12 points along with 5 steals, was perhaps the best of all. Lopez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lilianna Fritz, who scored 8 points along with 13 rebounds and 4 steals.
The losses dropped Cicero Prep Academy to 1-3 and North Valley Christian Academy to 1-1.
Cicero Prep Academy lost to Superior at home by a decisive 38-23 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Will Cicero Prep Academy have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
