Salem Hills has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Mountain View Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Salem Hills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday.
Salem Hills has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 50-23 victory over Timpanogos at home. With Salem Hills ahead 32-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Madi King was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points. Another player making a difference was Hattie Parkinson, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Mountain View was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 54-48 to Hunter. Mountain View has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Salem Hills' win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Salem Hills came up short against Mountain View when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 54-43. Thankfully for Salem Hills, Lili Suguturaga (who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
