If the Totino-Grace Eagles were riding high off their 90-43 takedown of the Coon Rapids Cardinals on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Totino-Grace took a 84-74 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bellevue West on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Totino-Grace has scored all season.
Bellevue West's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Robby Garcia, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. The match was Garcia's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Jackson, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Totino-Grace's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bellevue West, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Totino-Grace will be home for the holidays to greet Park Center at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Park Center knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Totino-Grace likes a good challenge. Bellevue West's road trip will continue as they head out to face Summit Christian Academy on December 19th. Hopefully Summit Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
