The Crestwood Comets will face off against the Wyoming Area Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Crestwood is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
If Crestwood beats Wyoming Area with 12 runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Comets beat Berwick on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2.
Chris Litchkofski tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of Crestwood's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 6-2 (and 6-7 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Dylan Domzalski was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Mylet, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Crestwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wyoming Area, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They never let Honesdale get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Saturday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Wyoming Area's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Robbie Yatsko, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Crestwood's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Wyoming Area, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Crestwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Wyoming Area in their previous matchup back in March, winning 8-3. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
