The Lookout Valley Yellowjackets will head out on the road to challenge the Hixson Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Lookout Valley and four for the Wildcats.
Last Friday, Lookout Valley took a serious blow against the Cougars, falling 51-13. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lookout Valley in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, Hixson had to suffer through a rough 52-12 loss at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, Hixson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 366th, while the Trojans are ranked 152nd).
Lookout Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Hixson, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.
Lookout Valley came up short against the Wildcats when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 40-35. Can Lookout Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
