North Delta had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Marshall Academy Patriots on Wednesday as they made off with an 11-5 win. Considering the Green Wave have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Owens Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Kolby Baker was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jett Manning was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
