Basketball Recap: Highland Park Extends Winning Streak to Four

Highland Park extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Pearmella Carter. The Highland Park Scots claimed a resounding 70-22 victory over the Schlagle Stallions thanks in part to Carter, who went 14 of 16 en route to 28 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Koralee Jones, who posted eight points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Highland Park's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points per game. As for Schlagle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Highland Park has already played their next game, a 54-42 victory against Sumner Academy on the 14th. As for Schlagle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 47-21 win against Harmon on the 14th.
