On Monday, Niobrara/Verdigre took a serious blow against the Knights, falling 56-28. Niobrara/Verdigre was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, West Holt beat the Bobcats 55-49 on Saturday.
Niobrara/Verdigre dropped their record down to 0-16 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for West Holt, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
Niobrara/Verdigre was dealt a bruising 80-41 defeat at the hands of the Huskies in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Niobrara/Verdigre, Weston Mathis (who scored 16 points along with two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
