4A District 6 recap November 5, 2013
Avon Park scaled the state rankings by moving to 444 from 472 this week, the biggest jump in 4A District 6. The Red Devils climbed the ranks as a result of besting Lake Placid 49-28.
Clewiston added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating LaBelle, 27-20. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Tigers.
Clewiston's Davis Witt and Lenorris Gaines have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Witt has thrown for 1,145 yards this season, while Gaines has 22 catches for 618 yards. The Cowboys' Danny Robinson leads the league in rushing yards with 1,224.
The Dragons lost to Avon Park 49-28 last week, the largest margin of any game.
