St. Edmund had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Sacred Heart Trojans as they made off with a 9-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Fighting Blue Jays have posted against the Trojans since April 17, 2021.

St. Edmund pushed their record up to 14-13 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Sacred Heart, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11.

St. Edmund didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-8 loss against Opelousas Catholic on the 5th. As for Sacred Heart, they will square off against Holy Savior Menard at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
