Roxbury Latin and Buckingham Browne & Nichols are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Foxes are taking a road trip to take on the Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Roxbury Latin will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Roxbury Latin is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against St. George's on Saturday as they made off with a 12-0 win. Considering the Foxes have won five matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Matt Taglieri tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Anthony Faletra was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tom Pender, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Roxbury Latin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. George's only posted an OBP of .188.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Buckingham Browne & Nichols' offense. They lost 16-0 to Belmont Hill on Saturday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Sextants recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Buckingham Browne & Nichols saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was GUS INADA, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.
Roxbury Latin pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Buckingham Browne & Nichols, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1.
Everything went Roxbury Latin's way against Buckingham Browne & Nichols in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Roxbury Latin made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Foxes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
