The Mingo Central Miners will take on the Wyoming East Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Mingo Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Jenkins with a sharp 18-1 victory on Thursday. The Miners not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10, 2024 (when they won 21-2).

Dylan Vance was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over five innings pitched. Those 16 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, Mingo Central let Keziah Joplin and Aaron Blankenship run wild. Joplin went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Blankenship went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Joplin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Newsome, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Mingo Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Wyoming East hadn't done well against Oak Hill recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Warriors came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 8-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Talan Muscari was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Miken Smyth, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Wyoming East's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Mingo Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
