After losing to South Panola the last time they met, Hernando decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Hernando walked away with  an   8-4  victory over South Panola  on Thursday. Hernando's  win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
 Olivia Skinner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on four hits.
 On the hitting side,  Olivia Higginbotham and  Jayla Sites did most of the damage at the plate:  Higginbotham  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3, while  Sites  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  triple. Higginbotham is also on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stole  at least one in each of the last seven games she's  played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was  Macie Dever Boaz, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and two  RBI.
 Hernando was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Panola only posted a  batting average of  .174.
Hernando's victory was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-0. As for South Panola,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at 11 games  dating back to last season and leaves them with a 6-1 record.
 Coming up, Hernando will square off against Purvis at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Hernando: 2.2, Purvis: 4) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for South Panola, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Vancleave  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
