The Intermountain Christian Lions stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 70-18 victory over Freedom Prep Academy. The win was familiar territory for Intermountain Christian who now have four in a row.
It was another big night for Elaine Lunsford, who scored 17 points along with eight steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendrick Lusk, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Intermountain Christian pushed their record up to 10-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Freedom Prep Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Intermountain Christian and the Knights will face off at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Freedom Prep Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Utah Military Academy - Hill Field is ranked 135th, while the Eagles are ranked 136th).
