Western Branch is a perfect 10-0 against King's Fork since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 5:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Western Branch has six straight wins, King's Fork has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Western Branch needed a bit of extra time to put away Lakeland. They had just enough and edged out the Cavaliers 5-4.

Western Branch got a great performance from Miles Melescu as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over 5.2 innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Melescu a new career-high.
At the plate, Wilson Tone was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Walter, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Western Branch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, King's Fork lost 12-2 to Phoebus on Friday.
King's Fork saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camden Hill, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Hill also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
Western Branch pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for King's Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
King's Fork's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Western Branch hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .398. It's a different story for King's Fork, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain Western Branch's hitters?
Everything went Western Branch's way against King's Fork in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Western Branch made off with a 17-2 victory. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
