For the first time this season, Liberty Ranch will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to take on the Argonaut Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Liberty Ranch put up the most points they have all season two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Kennedy. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Laura Quinn spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Liberty Ranch got a massive performance out of Paityn Snow, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those RBI were Snow's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariella Granata, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Liberty Ranch was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Argonaut made easy work of Union Mine on Thursday and carried off a 15-3 victory. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.
Hailey Dewald made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on AJ Schultz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Gia Stone, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
The win made it two in a row for Argonaut and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Liberty Ranch, their record is now 2-3.
Liberty Ranch skirted past Argonaut 7-6 in their previous matchup back in March of 2015. Will Liberty Ranch repeat their success, or does Argonaut has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
