If the Bevier Wildcats were riding high off their 48-11 takedown of the Heartland Christian Academy Eagles last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bevier was outmatched by the Eagles at home and fell 94-17. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bevier in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.
It was another big night for Korrie Holcer, who dropped a triple-double on 29 points, ten assists, and 17 steals for Meadville. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Carvajal, who scored 26 points along with five assists and three steals.
Bevier's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Meadville, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.
Bevier will stay at home for another game and welcome the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Linn County is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Meadville, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
