The Perry Central Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Magee Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
After only seven points in their last game, Perry Central made sure to put some points up on the board against Tylertown on Thursday. Perry Central walked away with a 39-30 victory over Tylertown.
Perry Central can attribute much of their success to Ausin Jones, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 88 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. Dejohn Johnson was another key contributor, rushing for 88 yards and a touchdown.
Magee can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They slipped by Seminary 16-15.
Magee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Cole, who picked up 124 receiving yards and a touchdown. Kendal Middleton was another key player, having thrown for 252 yards and onetouchdown.
