The McAllen Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Valley View 126-39 on the road. McAllen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.
McAllen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Benavidez, who scored nine points along with four steals. Benavidez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Jackson Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists and two steals.
McAllen is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. As for Valley View, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-24.
McAllen will head out on the road to square off against Rowe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully McAllen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday. As for Valley View, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sharyland at 6:00 p.m. Valley View is on a three-game streak of home losses, Sharyland a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
