The biggest upset of the week belonged to East Fairmont, who took down 53rd ranked Barbour, 21-15.
Lewis County was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Liberty. The Minutemen came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
Bridgeport's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Troy Anderson threw for 47 and one touchdown and Cullin Cutright had 24 yards receiving. On the ground Brett Hathaway chipped in 105 yards. Anthony Caldera helped Bridgeport's passing attack out by catching one ball for 23 yards.
Grafton's Josh Musgrove and Thomas Peters have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Big Ten in both passing and receiving yards. Musgrove has thrown for 590 yards this season, while Peters, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 23 catches for 294 yards. Elkins's L. J. Lawrence leads the league in rushing yards with 1491.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Tigers and Lewis County. Elkins comes into the matchup ranked 22nd in the state, while Eddie Vincent's team ranks 25th.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Greg Hott's team takes on the Minutemen. The Tigers' offense has recorded 368 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Lewis County has permitted only 94 on the year.
The Indians' Hathaway needs only 90 yards against Preston next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Hathaway has rushed for 910 yards on 169 carries so far this year.
The Minutemen extended the longest winning streak in Big Ten this week by beating the Mountaineers, 53-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for Lewis County.
