On Thursday, the Corcoran/Fowler Cougars's game was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Everything went their way against Solvay as Corcoran/Fowler made off with a 58-38 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Corcoran/Fowler also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Solvay lost, one person who can't be blamed is Neonna Turk. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Turk's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Togni, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Corcoran/Fowler's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Solvay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
Corcoran/Fowler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Solvay will head out on the road to face off against Tully at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
