The North Mecklenburg Vikings fell victim to the Grimsley Whirlies''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Whirlies. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, North Mecklenburg couldn't push the score so high this time.
Faizon Brandon was his usual excellent self, throwing for 271 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84% of his passes, and also punching in three touchdowns on the ground. Terrell Anderson also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
North Mecklenburg now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Grimsley, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
North Mecklenburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grimsley will be playing in front of their home fans against Sun Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sun Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
