Blackduck suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Red Lake, falling 100-58. While losing is never fun, Blackduck can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Red Lake is ranked 121st).
Meanwhile, Kelliher/Northome had to suffer through a rough 104-65 loss at the hands of North Woods.
This is the second loss in a row for Blackduck and nudges their season record down to 3-9. As for Kelliher/Northome, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Blackduck against Kelliher/Northome when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 89-38 win. Does Blackduck have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kelliher/Northome turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
