Thomas Stone has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the North County Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Thomas Stone knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully North County likes a good challenge.
Even though Annapolis scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, Thomas Stone still came out on top. Thomas Stone walked away with a 66-57 win over Annapolis. That 66-57 margin sets a new team best for Thomas Stone this season.
Thomas Stone can attribute much of their success to Ty Woodland, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds, and Jonas Agyeman, who scored 25 points along with five steals. The contest was Agyeman's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jayden Banks was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Meanwhile, North County came up short against Glen Burnie on Friday and fell 62-52. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North County in their matchups with Glen Burnie: they've now lost six in a row.
Thomas Stone now has a winning record of 3-2. As for North County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Thomas Stone couldn't quite finish off North County in their previous matchup back in December of 2017 and fell 75-72. Can Thomas Stone avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
