Pompano Beach's loss came despite strong showings from Jonathan Berwig and Mason Rowan. Berwig scored 22 points, while Rowan scored 13 points along with 4 blocks. Another player making a difference was Jaden Odom, who scored 3 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Deerfield Beach's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Pompano Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
