The Fultondale Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They lost to Altamont at home by a decisive 40-26 margin. Fultondale lost against Altamont in their previous head to head back in November, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-32 score last time.
Altamont found their leader in underclassman Payton Daniels, who scored 25 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Daniels has scored at least 25% of Altamont's points. Abbey Silmon was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Fultondale has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Altamont, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.
Fultondale won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Minor at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. One thing working in Minor's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. Altamont will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tarrant at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th.
