5A Region II District 10 recap October 22, 2013
Curtis Ladd and Dedrick Scrivens provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Plano. The connection went for 97 yards, the longest such play in 5A Region II District 10 this season.
Plano East was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. The Panthers defeated McKinney 35-23 earlier in the week.
Ladd threw for 225 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Scrivens was the best wideout in the league this week as Boyd beat the Wildcats. Scrivens racked up 2 receptions for 104 yards. Brandon Bowling helped Boyd's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 89 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Ladd and Scrivens, the Broncos have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Ladd is tops in the league in passing with 1,319 yards, while Scrivens has rushed for 989 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is the Lions' Tv Williams, with 429 yards on 27 catches.
Scrivens of the Boyd is only 11 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 147 carries Scrivens has put up 989 yards this year.
An important game coming up in 5A Region II District 10 this week will be when Plano takes on Plano East. At the moment, Jaydon Mccullough's team is in third, while Randy Jackson's team is in second.
The Eagles extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Plano West, 77-37. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
