The Elkhart Wildcats will take on the Eads Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Greeley County scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Elkhart still came out on top. Elkhart took down Greeley County 74-55.
Meanwhile, Eads took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 54-41 victory over Hi-Plains.
Eads' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brentley Lening, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Stockton Mitchek, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
The losses dropped Elkhart to 1-1 and Greeley County to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Elkhart against Eads when the teams last played back in December of 2021 as the squad secured a 57-13 win. Will Elkhart repeat their success, or does Eads have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
