Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Fort Wayne Northrop

There's no place like home for Fort Wayne Northrop, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers by a score of 52-42 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bruins as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Wayne Northrop to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khala Williams-Thomas, who posted 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Swynn Jackson, who put up 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Fort Wayne Northrop smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zy'Ann Phinezy, who had 13 points and four steals. Janaya Cooper was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight rebounds.
