The Cascade Christian Cougars won the last time they faced the Klahowya Eagles, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Cascade Christian came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 42-29. Given Cascade Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Eagles are ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Klahowya saw an underclassman step up: Bailey O'Brien scored 15 points along with two steals.
Cascade Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Klahowya, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Cascade Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Klahowya won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Gators at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Annie Wright has seven straight victories, the Eagles have three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
