Softball Recap: Bingham Wins Going Away Against Hunter

While Bingham put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Hunter. The Miners were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Wolverines. The Miners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Bingham got a big performance out of Shyann Banasky, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Brenna Cowley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bingham kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hunter didn't got any hits.

Bingham is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Hunter, they dropped their record down to 9-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Bingham will face off against Mountain Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Miners 2.6, the Sentinels 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Hunter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
