Baseball Recap: Graham Local Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Graham Local, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Indian Lake Lakers 7-1 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Adam Levy made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Graham Local is undefeated when Levy posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Breyton Reisinger, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Dylan LaFollette was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Graham Local's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Indian Lake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Coming up, Graham Local will be playing at home against Urbana at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hillclimbers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.46 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. Indian Lake will be paying especially close attention to Graham Local's contest: after Graham Local faces off against Urbana, they'll take on Indian Lake again at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
