The Clover Blue Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 24 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 65-41 margin over Nation Ford. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Clover.
Trenton Palumbo was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Harley Lail, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Nation Ford lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caden Giles, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Walters, who scored 11 points.
Clover has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Nation Ford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Blythewood the next time they take the court. Nation Ford will head out to face Blythewood at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, while Clover will host them at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
